MAARTEN VAN ROSSUM MUSEUM 1535

The City Castle (Stadskasteel) is named after a local general, Maarten van Rossum, who had it built around 1535. Maarten van Rossum played an important role in the 80-year war between the Dutch and the Spaniards, and the museum gives a good overview on this period. The collection of the museum is quite heterogenous: next to a collection of Jugendstil furniture, the upper floor is dedicated to the locally born Dutch designer Fiep Westendorp, famous for her "Jip & Janneke" drawings.

1303 The northeast section dates from 1303 and is still intact. In Gothic style which was considered very modern in those days. The main part of the church was completed around 1500. The tower somewhat later. Few people know that the heartland of the Netherlands during the Middle-Ages was much more towards the east where the land was less prone to flooding. Zaltbommel and its basilica is much older than Amsterdam that gained prominence much later.

ESPCIALLY ADFTER BEING ASKED TO STOP SMOKING WEED CUZ IT WAS EFFECTING THE GUEST THEY HAD.... LOVE THIS PLACE AND THE PEOPLE WHOLE OWN IT ARE TRULY DELIGHTFUL

"BOMMEL 1231 \The town of Zaltbommel was first mentioned as "Bomela" in the year 850.

Zaltbommel received city rights in 1231 and these were renewed in 1316. In 1599 during the Eighty Years War, Zaltbommel was besieged by Spanish forces but was relieved by an Anglo-Dutch force led by Maurice of Orange.

I was practicing not drinking on this trip but the vibes in rotterdam were so fire it was only right to have a couple... Even though this was my favorite city, you have to stay on point... its the second larger city in holland meaning DONT BE A LICK... $2000.00 electric bike was stolen as a result of being reckless.
