1. The fire safety requirements regarding the use of premises as a Den or meeting place. This details the certification and documentation that is required to determine if a premises is suitable with respect to fire safety. 2. Responsibility for fire safety Group Leaders, Scout Centre managers and all scouters have responsibilities in relation to fire safety. 3. Classification of fires, fire prevention and fire protection These sections provide information on types of fire and how they are prevented, managed and extinguished. 4. The largest part of these guidelines is the Fire register. This document describes the various fire prevention, detection and response systems, their certification, inspection and test intervals. Print off this document, fill it in and keep it in your Scout Den or meeting place. The training team will help you to understand and use it.
