COMPUTER LABS AND TUTORING SERVICES

SCC computer labs offer a comfortable and quiet area to complete assignments on campus. You can find Windows and Apple operating systems with the programs you need to complete your work. Each student is given a $25 printing allowance every semester to use throughout the computer labs on campus.

SCC provides free subject-specific tutoring services, resources and programs to support students in developing skills essential for successful learning. Many of the services are on a walk-in basis at your convenience. Call ahead to verify hours.

Student Business Services (SBS) provides students with several payment options and can answer any questions concerning tuition and fee charges, payments, or refunds. We accept payments in person, by telephon e, online, or by mail. Payments made by telephone will require a c redit/debit card, and payments sent by mail will require a check or money o rder.

One of the three (3) payment options below must be made on the day of registration to secure your class(es).

• Option 1 - Financial Aid and Scholarships

If you have been awarded and accepted your financial aid (grants , loans, or scholarships) and your award covers the full cost of your tuition and fees, your classes are secured. If your financial ai d award is less than your tuition and fees, please make payment arrange ments to cover the balance or sign up for a payment plan.

• Option 2 - Payment Plan

Sign up for a monthly payment plan to secure your class(es) on the day you register. Learn more about paying using a payment plan. This includes a $15 down payment and a $25 (non-refundable) payment plan fee per semester for a total of $40 to secure your class(es).

• Option 3 - Pay in Full

You may pay tuition in full using a debit/credit card, checking /savings account, or prepaid/re-loadable card. Log into your My Maricopa Student Center account. Tuition and fees are due at the time of registration.

Financial Aid & Scholarships

• Financial Aid comes in the form of grants, loans, work study (student employment), and scholarships to help meet a student’s cost of attendance.

• There are many factors affecting eligibility for financial aid. A s a result, students need to apply for financial aid every year. Financial a id is available for full- and part-time students.

• You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit any requested information to the SCC Financial Aid o ffice as soon as possible in order to have your application reviewed. School Code: 008304.

• If you file close to your date of registration, you should be pr epared to use your own funds to pay for tuition and check with the Financial Aid office to see if there is enough time to process prior to pay ment being due.

• The Financial Aid office hosts a series of financial aid workshops. You can stop by to ask questions, get help filling out the FAFSA, and learn about the financial aid process. For times and locations, please check the website.

Artie’s FIT Market provides a reliable food source to SCC students who are experiencing food insecurity. Students visit the market and select items of their choice from various food groups. Safety Escorts

The College Police Department provides safety escorts to studen ts and staff, assistance to disabled motor vehicle owners, and are trained to respond in em ergency situations.

Sexual Harassment

Sexual assault and sexual harassment are criminal acts, which s ubjects perpetrators to criminal and civil penalties in state and federal courts. In addition to court-imposed sanctions, SCC will respond administratively if a sexual assault or other criminal offense involves a student or employee as the offender. Students and employees are subject to applicable Maricopa County Community Colleges District policies and disciplinary procedure s, including policies prohibiting sexual harassment. Sanctions may include suspension or expulsio n for student offenders or termination of employment for employees.

Students who have witnessed or experienced sexual assault or sexual harassment should report these offenses to College Police and Title IX Regional Director.

Parking

Parking is free for students and visitors. Please respect the S taff, Handicap and Carpool parking spaces and only use if given the proper authorization and are displaying the proper decal.

Lost and Found Property

Lost and found property is kept at the College Police office. Art icles turned in to Lost and Found will be held for 30 days.
