HON E YMOON

Firstly, congratulations... I hope you are enjoying this special time; my engagement was over 20 years ago now but I still remember it as a really exciting stage in our lives. I also remember how much fun we had planning and then going on our honeymoon to Thailand and Malaysia. Whether you are organising it as a surprise for your partner or together, it should be a wonderful experience. Our Consultants will guide you through the whole process of planning and booking your honeymoon step-by-step, taking into account what you really want to get out of it, your budget, your timings and the special touches you want it to include. If you aren’t sure what you want to do, they can help inspire you and suggest lots of ideas to get you thinking.

OUR HONEY MOONS Your honeymoon should be the most memorable, magical holiday you’ve ever taken. It’s the perfect excuse to do something really special, whether it’s relaxing on a pristine tropical beach just yards from your private villa, trekking up a volcano to savour the sunrise over never-ending views, pottering around Italy’s most romantic cities or staying in a luxury tented camp surrounded by big game on the African plains. At Scott Dunn we have been creating unforgettable honeymoons for over 30 years. Our Consultants will consider your budget, the kind of honeymoon you want to experience and the special touches you want to include. They will put together some options for you, bearing in mind the best places to visit for the time of year you are going, then tweak and tailor your honeymoon until it is perfect. They know their areas intimately and use their first-hand experience of properties and destinations to make sure they craft something that is ideal for you. To inspire you, we have created this collection of some of our favourite honeymoons, but of course, we can tailor and adjust each one as much as you like... or craft something completely different.

WHEN TO GO WHERE

With so many places to see in the world, choosing where to go is half the fun. If you are not sure where’s good to go for the time of year you want to travel, we can help. Our Consultants know the weather patterns for their destinations and when to catch amazing natural spectacles and cultural events.

8

January is great for big game viewing in Tanzania and sunshine in Sri Lanka and the cherry blossom in Japan begins to come alive from the end of March. In June, you can encounter whale sharks in Western Australia and later that month the lavender starts to bloom in Provence. In September thousands gather in Mexico for a spectacular equinox, honoured by the Mayan people who long ago built a huge pyramid to celebrate it.

If you are keen to see manta rays in the Maldives, we will tell you when to go. If you are more interested in Rio’s spectacular carnival than its climate, we can arrange a honeymoon around the celebrations. Or, if you are flexible, perhaps you would prefer to travel out of season, for better value and fewer people. For each honeymoon in this brochure, we have let you know when’s best to go.
