• No APs are available in ninth grade. Only one AP course is available in 10th grade.

• All AP students are expected to take the AP exam.

• Advanced Topics courses meet or exceed the rigor of AP courses.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

The Experiential Learning program supports students with opportunities and structure for personal self-exploration. Students will choose how they would like to grow, make discoveries about themselves, and further develop their unique strengths. Real-world experiences may include job shadows, internships, college coursework, concentrations within specific disciplines, and other significant activities. All students complete a Challenge Experience, engage in community service, and participate in May Term Intensives.

• Challenge Experience: Self-designed experience defended before a faculty committee and presented to the school community in one of four pathways: Service Learning/Philanthropy, Concentration, Independent Project, or Civic Engagement.

• Community Service: Volunteer service to community paired with reflection.

• May Term Intensives: One-week experiential education courses for ninth, 10th, and 11th grades on topics such as architecture, medicine, animal behavior, design, and law.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT TESTS

Of the 201 Seven Hills students who took 402 Advanced Placement exams in 16 subjects in May 2025, 94% qualified for advanced college standing by receiving a score of 3 or better on the 1-5 national scale on at least one exam.
