This program helps students develop self-awareness of where their interests lie, facilitates exploration of those interests, and provides students with pertinent real-world experiences through job shadows, internships, community service, college course work, and other relevant activities. Students may elect to earn concentrations in such fields as Community Engagement, Environmental Stewardship, Global Citizenship, Political Engagement, The Arts, Technology and Innovation, Engineering and Design, Integrated Wellness, or Social Justice.

ACADEMIC RIGOR • Admission to Honors and AP courses is selective and depends on past performance and departmental approval. Due to the rigor of those courses, students are counseled to limit the number they take • All AP students are expected to take the AP exam • Post-AP electives–Multivariable Calculus, French 5 Honors, Spanish 5 Honors, Global Issues Honors, Advanced Topics in Computer Science
School-year 2020-21: Except for the three weeks between Thanksgiving and Winter Break, Seven Hills was in school and in person for the entire school year. Students who were quarantined or had other reasons to learn remotely followed a full-day synchronous schedule and came to school to take timed and graded assessments. School-year 2021-22: We opened the school in August 2021 with robust mask and other PPE protocols and with more than 97% of high school students, faculty, and staff fully vaccinated. Only students with COVID-related medical needs were granted permission to learn remotely. School-year 2022-23: We have a mask-optional protocol this year. Only students with COVID-related medical needs have permission to learn remotely.
ADVANCED PLACEMENT TESTS Of the 170 Seven Hills students who took 353 Advanced Placement exams in 16 subjects in May 2022, 91% qualified for advanced college standing by receiving a score of 3 or better on the 1-5 national scale on at least one exam.

CLASS SIZES FALL 2022 Grade 9 – 87 Grade 10 – 105 Grade 11 – 92 Grade 12 – 97 CALENDAR Two 18-week semesters, each divided into two 9-week quarters. Block schedule: 80-minute classes in two-day rotation.
After spring exams, when all regular classes are GRADING INFORMATION finished, our ninth, tenth, and eleventh graders choose a one-week experiential education course WEIGHTED GRADES ON 4.0 SCALE to finish the year. Some examples: furniture design and construction, food production and Introductory College Prep no weight processing, medical careers, architecture and murals, and many more. College Prep with pre-req additional +.25 weight
