Co-commissioned by the National Symphony Orchestra of the Polish Radio Katowice, Berliner Philharmoniker Foundation, Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonie de Paris, Los Angeles Philharmonic and NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchester.
The first performance was given on 13 January 2023 at NOSPR Concert Hall, Katowice, Poland by the National Symphony Orchestra of the Polish Radio Katowice and Iveta Apkalna (organ), conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen.
The German premiere was given on 19 January 2023 at Philharmonie, Berlin, Germany by the Berliner Philharmoniker and Olivier Latry (organ), conducted by Esa-Pekka Salonen.
