The authors Dr Tony Merna, BSc, MPhil, PhD is a director at a global bank with over 14 years’ experience in project, structured and infrastructure finance. His father, also called Tony Merna, was the co-author of the first edition. Dr Faisal F. Al-Thani, BSc, MSc, PhD, Fulbright Scholarship, is the deputy managing director for Maersk Oil in Qatar, he also sits on the board of the Commercial Bank of Qatar. A petroleum engineer by profession, his work in the oil and gas industry spans 31 years working across petroleum planning, reservoir engineering, economics, finance, and contracts.
