SCHOOL'S PRESENTATION

In this article you'll find how we've presented our schools with a video.

We presented our school with a video to teach the school to children in Turkey and Greece.

First, we made pairs to explain each classroom. Then we prepared on a paper what we had to say.

Then we went in pairs in the classrooms that we had been faced with to ask: what's the name of the class, how many pupils there are and what courses there are in the class.

Finally, our English teacher recorded and sent it to ETwinning and the children of Turkey and Greece were able to see our precious school.

The school of Greece and Turkey did the same with us. They recorded a video to show us their schools.

Countries' presentation

First each country we did an activity that put 3 things we knew about the other countries and we put this information in a cloud of words. To make the digital posters we used the mentimeter application.

We have also worked on other topics such as typical foods or icons or, for example, important traditions or monuments ...

Each international team made digital posters with the information it was finding on google and posted it on Etwinning

Workshop for safer internet

As part of the "New Magazine: Science in stories for kids" etwinning program, the schools participating in the program (ZER Baix Camp Sud, 1st Primary School of Glyka Nera and Ahmet Yesevi Ilkokulu) implemented as a first joint online action a workshop for safer internet. The workshop was held on Friday, December 10, 2021, with the participation of students and teachers from all schools, using the cisco webex platform.

16

Responsible for the preparation, organization and presentation of the workshop were the students of E2 class of the 1st Primary School of Glyka Nera. For this purpose, they timely prepared games and activities under the guidance, support and coordination of their ICT teacher Ms. Marina Kanitsaki. The students of Glyka Nera made electronic and board games and selected short videos on the rules for safer internet browsing and the rules for good online behavior (netiquette). Ms. Kanitsaki prepared the program of the workshop and coordinated its presentation. Students from all participating schools exchanged views on the topic and at the end of the workshop played an online quiz that gave them the opportunity to test the knowledge they gained from the workshop.

The workshop also gave pupils the opportunity to meet for the first time with their classmates from the other countries. The children were excited by the communication between them and were looking forward to their next online meeting and their cooperation in common actions!

How we create the sustainable house

To work sustainable homes

First of all, we studied what sustainability was, what materials were sustainable and which energies were the most environmentally friendly. Secondly with sustainable materials we designed a sustainable home

In groups we were part of the sustainable house for example Jaume and Oriol made the windmill.

We divided the house between medium cycle and us. We made groups to present the sustainable house. Then we went to a Science Fire in Reus and presented the sustainable house following the groups we had done.

OUR EXPERIENCE IN THE TEACHERS MOBILITY Catalonia Catalonia

The first mobility of the project “New magazine: Science in stories for kids” was for teachers in Catalonia in the period from 30th of May to 2nd of June of 2022.

In our school, teachers and pupils were very excited and nervous because of we were the hosts of this visit. We did a hard work in order to prepare all the activities, trips, meals so that all of things could come out perfectly.

Two teachers went to the airport in order to welcome our partners. This moment was very emotive because it was the first time that we meet in a real scene. In general, we had passed a good time all these days We could exchange experiences about our teachinglearning process, we could learn the education system of other countries, we could work hand in hand with our partners and we can learn together through some workshops. But all wasn’t work because we had time to create group feeling and close ties with all teachers of the school and the partners of the project.

It was a really good experience We expect the next mobility with a great illusion.

OUR EXPERIENCE IN THE TEACHERS MOBILITY Greece Greece

Teachers' mobility to Catalonia (30 May- 2 June 2022) was a unique experience for Greek teachers.

First of all, we appreciated the warm welcome and hospitality of our Catalan partners. It was really amazing that for the first time we were able to meet face to face, having met so many times online. Secondly, we enjoyed working and cooperating for the project. We managed to organise it better and more effectively We exchanged experiences, feelings, opinions and knowledge. We did workshops that helped us grow professionally.

Additionally, we admired the Catalan nature and landscape and we learnt a lot about the history and the civilization of the area. We found differencies but also many common elements of our daily life and culture that create close bonds of friendship for people of participants countries.

Returning to Greece, we transferred our experience to our pupils and we discussed a lot about our expectations from the project Now, more than ever before, our pupils are looking forward to keep on the active involvement in our program and to meeting with their classmates from the other countries next year.

Thank you, friends, for the cooperation! We look forward to meeting you again soon!

OUR EXPERIENCE IN THE TEACHERS MOBILITY Turkey

Turkey

We had very different experiences in Catalonia. First of all, the architecture of the city impressed us a lot. We could not get rid of its effect for a long time with its quiet, calm atmosphere. We were very well received and we were pleased to meet our colleagues and share our experiences.

The studies carried out in the schools we visited inspired us. We observed that students and teachers were together with a team spirit. We were interested in the curriculum applied in other schools, and we saw that we could adapt good examples to our own work. We are very happy to be involved in this project and to have this wonderful experience. Thanks to Catalonia for hosting

Second mobility: Erasmus in Greece

FIRST DAY: WE ARRIVE AT GREECE

The adventure begins! Finally, we travel to Greece to share a few days with our Greek and Turkish colleagues. The flight left Barcelona airport on time and we were in Greece before two o'clock. After settling in the hotel, we were walking around Pallini while we waited for our colleagues from Turkey.

We had a typical Greek dinner and went to bed tired after a day of many emotions.

28

Second mobility: Erasmus in Greece

SECOND DAY: FIRST CONTACT WITH SCHOOL AND

WORKMATES

Today we met the school of Glyka Nera, a school of about 300 students who were excitedly waiting for us.

They showed us around the school and we received some presents.

Then, together with the 6th grade students of the Glyka Nera school and our Turkish colleagues, we went by bus to the "Vorres museum", an open-air museum where we saw a garden with different ecosystems while relating the house, the traditional and sustainable way of living, taking advantage of the elements of the nearby nature.

29

Second mobility: Erasmus in Greece

SECOND DAY: FIRST CONTACT WITH SCHOOL AND WORKMATES

There we were received by the City Council's culture and education councilors and invited to a cooler.

We went back to school and after lunch with our new friends we played while working with materials and recycling.

It has been a profitable day and our boss is already starting to speak in English. Let's start to learn some words in Greek.

30

Second mobility: Erasmus in Greece

THIRD DAY: WORKING TOGETHER!

We started the day by visiting the library of Agia Paraskevi. The library space was donated to the city by the painter Kontopoulos. We visited the museum space of the painter's house and in the library the librarian explained to us the meaning of the word biblio (book) and teca (case) which refers to the ancient papyrus books that were kept in a kind of case . He also told us about the beginning of scrolls and the organization of libraries. On our way out we visited the Orthodox church of Santa Paraskevi.

31

Second mobility: Erasmus in Greece

THIRD DAY: WORKING TOGETHER

At school, we worked in international groups making a model of a sustainable house, which is the culmination of the scientific work related to the story of the Three Little Pigs that we carried out during the first year of the project.

After lunch, the 6th grade students of the school did a shadow theatre representing the story of the Three Little Pigs in English and Greek and then invited us to perform it in Catalan. We chatted a lot!

To end the day we went to Rafina, a town on the coast, for dinner.

Another round and profitable day.

32

Second mobility: Erasmus in Greece

FOURTH DAY: VISIT ATHENS

Today we travelled to the city of Athens. To begin with, we visited the Acropolis, one of the most important architectural complexes of ancient Greece. Together with the guide, we were able to learn about the history of the Parthenon, the temple of Athena Nike, the caryatids... We also visited the Acropolis museum, where we were able to learn more about these constructions and various cultural aspects of this civilization.

After lunch in the center of Athens, we walked through its most historic streets (Thisio, Plaka, Monastiraki) where we were able to buy some souvenirs.

It's been a fantastic day!

33

Second mobility: Erasmus in Greece

FIFTH DAY: FINISH OUR SUSTAINABLE HOUSE

This is over. Last day at school we took the opportunity to finish the tasks on the sustainable house that we have been doing these days. As you can see, it looked very nice on us.

Before lunch we went to the forest near the school to build houses with materials we found. We also played a game of catching the 3 little pigs.

In the afternoon we went as tourists to Glyka Nera.

34

Second mobility: Erasmus in Greece

FIFTH DAY: FINISH OUR SUSTAINABLE HOUSE

As a farewell, AMPA and the families of the school have prepared a party with a pica pica with food from the country. Before the party, a farewell was held with educational and local authorities where all the work done during the mobility was presented.

We also took the opportunity to make final evaluations of the stay.

35

Second mobility: Erasmus in Greece

SIXTH DAY: SAY GOODBYE!

Time to go. It has been a few days full of emotions and shared work. We felt very welcome and accompanied. We made new friends.

We have realized that despite being from distant countries, boys and girls are the same and have the same way of seeing and understanding school and that as teachers we understand education in a similar way. We shared ways of doing things and organizing, we got to know different languages, different foods... In other words, we LEARNED!

Thank you to everyone who made this experience possible.

36

OUR EXPERIENCE IN THE GREECE MOBILITY Catalonia

It is said that travelling enrich the souls and open our minds. And, after this experience, we can confirm that IT IS TRUE

The mobility of Greece was a great adventure and a big learning for all participants: pupils and teachers All of us enjoyed a lot through sharing knowledges, exchanging experiences, making new friends, realising about the importance of learning English to comunicate and enrinching our own culture

Regarding pupils, in there, they recorded in an audio their opinions, feelings and emotions about these exciting days You can listen in this link It is should be noted that this audio is the best exemple of happiness, satisfaction and proud about a work well done and the expectation of mantaining the close links with Greek pupils which they created

About teachers, we were aware of that, despite to the distance between countries and the differences between cultures, we have got the same way of seeing the school and understanding the education We could learn some experiences and differents methodologies about teachinglearning process. Finally, we feel very accompanied during all the experience and really we are very grateful

We think that it was a enriched experience which we never forget and it always remain engraved in our hearts

THANK YOU!

OUR EXPERIENCE IN THE GREECE MOBILITY Greece

The second mobility was an unforgettable experience for all: pupils, teachers and parents.

Since September, when we started organizing the actions, we have been very anxious and we looked forward to welcoming our friends from the schools of Catalonia and Turkey! We were asking our teachers "how many people are going to come?" "we don't know very good English; will we manage to communicate with our peers ?" "will they be satisfied from the activities we prepared?".

We were very enthusiastic when we first met face to face our new friends and their teachers! We did a lot with them: we played, we worked together, we had fun, we exchanged opinions about our likes and dislikes and about every day life in our countries

Because of the mobility and the Erasmus project in whole we learn a lot! We shared with our families and our teachers our happiness and our satisfaction about the mobility and we can't wait to meeting again our friends online or face to face!

Both our parents and our teachers believe that the mobility achieved its goals and they are very satisfied with the results. Our teachers prepared questionnaries to select pupils'

OUR EXPERIENCE IN THE GREECE MOBILITY Turkey

By this project, I’ve learned a lot about the culture and education systems of different countries Seeing the activities and techniques used by the Athenian schools in the classroom and at school allowed me to make a comparison with the education system in my own country. It was a good experience for me. I would like to thank my Greek and Catalan colleagues for their sincerity, help and the value they add to me. Hope to see you again..

It made me happy to visit a new country and met with new friends I am very happy for the historical places we visited and the information I learned. I'd love to go and see it again.

It was a great experience to be involved in this project I had the opportunity to compare the Greek education system with the education system of my own country It was a different feeling to be in touch with different cultures It was a friendly, sincere, warm atmosphere I had the opportunity to see better and live that our dissimilarities are not differences but wealth.

It was very nice to be in the same environment with children from different countries. We ate different meals, played different games. Even though we don't speak the same language, we got along very well. It was a nice trip.

Coming together with our stakeholders from different countries for education, to organize events with them; added good experiences to us in order to gain personal, cultural, social development and skills Love, respect, friendship, sharing, cooperation... Result; an unforgettable, worth living, a week to make lived in memories... Endless thanks for everything

Reflections, impressions and emotions of the 1st year of Erasmus + CATALONIA

As coordinators

It has been our first experience in a Erasmus + project Moreover, as a coordinators of it We believe that it's a great experience but also it's a big responsability and a huge work!

In our school, there are three members in the impulsor group but all teachers are implicated in its development. All time, we feel supported by the school's principal and our workmates Also, families, the town hall and people of the village have done support in the activities proposed.

The previous work which we did to prepare and present the official project it has been basic and essential. It suppose also a permanent guide and help to organize and programme all the activities of the first year.

At the beginning, we were nervous to know if working with European partners would be easy and useful. And, in fact, we have worked in a coordinate way easily and there is a good harmony and compenetration between all of us It was nice meeting face-to-face in the first meeting in Catalonia

An important point is the help of the new technologies to communicate with each other: Google Meet, eTwinning, email, Whatsapp... They has been essential to carry on the project

The enthusiasm of our pupils is the best result that we achieve with the project. The illusion, the motivation and the desire of the pupils is the reason why everything work it well

By the moment, we feel proud of our work, it has been gratifying, because we have get the most of our aims Now, the project is an important part in the life of the school.

Reflections, impressions and emotions of the 1st year of Erasmus + CATALONIA

As participantsteachers and families

Our families are very grateful and satisfied with the result that we're achieving with the Erasmus + project Through a survey, we could know their thinkings and opinions about it and its development.

First, families know that an Erasmus+ project is taking place at school, but, when they explain what it is about, the answers show that they know more about the concrete activities than about the main objectives of the project.

Second, more than fifty per cent of the families say that children explain about the project at home and that they would have been able to follow the learning process. Also, they can do it through the social media as blog, Telegram and Instagram

Third, they think that Erasmus+ will give their children benefits in their education. It is should be noted thath the families aren’t scared about mobilities.

Finally, more than sixty per cent has participated in the sessions convocated to explain the project

In the teachers' survey about the first year of Erasmus+, all of them answered that they know that an Erasmus+ project is done and they know what the project is about because they have received information from the members of the English committee

Teachers are getting involved while doing some activities but few teachers have been the impùlsors to do the project activities. So the majority of the group of teachers would like to participate more during the second year of the project because they think that it is interesting to involve more teachers.

All of them think that it is a good experience to improve knowledge, share experiences on how to teach in the other schools and to know new applications to apply in the class.
