The Friends of True Lovers Walk, Yarm – are a community group who have been working to make this area of our town accessible, so that we can all enjoy the beauty of the riverbank.

Y6 have been finding out about the work of David Hockney. He has experimented throughout his long career as an artist – we looked at the work he had done over the last 70 years, including his iPad art and the work he produced for his My Window exhibition.
We visited True Lovers Walk and captured some images on iPad. We then had to be selective and opt for our favourite image. We then used this as our inspiration, using a paint programme. This was a challenging assignment but we are delighted with the outcomes.
We are sharing these with the community group - The Friends of True Lovers Walk, Yarm – to share on their Facebook page. We are aiming to develop our connections with the group through a project for Christmas… We hope we have inspired you to talk a stroll down by the river…
