Attendance & Punctuality
Tutor Evening: with a focus on Engagement in Learning and general wellbeing
Parents’ Evenings: with a focus on Engagement in Learning and Academic Progress
Reporting on Engagement in Learning
Your child’s first report this academic year will focus on engagement in learning
The report will indicate the approach shown by your child to both their learning within the classroom and at home, taking into consideration key indicators: behaviour, attitude to work, motivation, homework and organisation.
We firmly believe that engagement in learning is the single biggest indicator for academic success.

Reporting to parents
'Nothing but the best'
The engagement in learning judgements are graded A to D and colour coded:

Blue A – excellent
Green B – generally positive but could indicate coasting

Amber C – must be improved
Red D – serious cause for concern
Reporting to parents
Throughout the year students are given assessment tasks to help teachers make informed decisions about how each student is mastering the curriculum content – both in terms of knowledge and application of knowledge/skills. There are 5 Curriculum Progress statements and the statement that best fits the student is given on the report.

Students are placed into Attainment Groups based on their KS2 data. Students are ranked by their summer exam performance into Exam Attainment Groups. We then compare the two sets of data to make an Exam Progress Judgement.
