Ineverysubjectarea,thecontentandthe deliveryofthecurriculumhasbeenthoroughly consideredandadaptedforremotelearning,so studentsmaximisetheirlearningandprogress. Topicsmayberevisedtomaximiseretrievaland retentionandnewcontentwillbeintroduced withadaptedresourcesandsupport.
Communication
Allworksetwillbeposteddailyon ClassChartsbytheclassteacher,following students'currenttimetableinmostlessons.Y7 andY8willfollowamodifiedtimetablefor carouselsubjectsonly.Thiswillincludethe instructionsandresources.Studentsmaybe givenaGoogleClassroomcodetoaccesslesson materials,workandassignments.Studentswill alsohaveaweeklyfacetofacesessionwitha memberofstaffviaGoogleMeet.
LessonDelivery
Lessonswillbedeliveredusingarangeoftools andmaterialsthatwillbesharedwithstudents. Studentsareexpectedtoaccessthevideos, textsorotherresourcesprovidedinorderto learncontent,practiseskillsandretain knowledge.Provisionofhighqualityand relevantmaterialswillenablestudentstolearn andprogress.
RecordedLessons
Somelessonsorpartsoflessonswillbeprerecordedandsenttostudentstointroducea topicorlesson,todeliverexplanationsor instructions,toclearmisconceptionorgive feedbackandtomodelworkoranswers.
Teachersmayusevoicerecordingover PowerPointorLoomvideosaswellasmodelling workthroughvisualisers.

RemoteLearning
WorkExpectations
Theremoteeducationprovidedwillbe equivalentinlengthtothecoreteaching studentswouldreceiveinschool–5hours.It willconsistofremotelearningusingarangeof materialsandresourcesandtimeforstudentsto completetasksandassignmentsindependently. Therewillalsobeoptionalextrareadingand watchlistssignpostedforstudentsonthe website.

Subjectsusearangeofdifferentresources. ThroughGoogleClassroomandtheirrelated productsstudentscanaccessavarietyoftasks viaawebbrowsertocomplete.Subjectspecific platformsareusedsuchas:Educake,Seneca LearningandMathswatch.Thelessonsmayalso includepre-recordedlessonsbyOakAcademyor GreenshawLearningTrustaswellasvideos recordedbyourteachers.
ContactwithTeachers
Teacherswillbeavailabletosupportlearning. StudentsmaychoosetocontactthemviatheGoogle chatfunctionaskingworkspecificquestionsthat teacherswillendeavourtoanswer.

Teachersmayalsoopendialogueviaindividual feedbackonGoogleClassroom.Allstudentshavea personalmentorandhaveweeklymentorsessions, heldoverGoogleMeettodiscusswellbeing,support theirremotelearningandanyspecificissues.

Teacherswillplananddeliverthelearningforall studentsthroughtheuseofexplicitstep-by-step instructions,scaffoldedtasks,providingclear examplesaswellasofferinganysupport needed.
Resourcesandmaterialswillbeadaptedto maximisethelearningofallstudents.

EngagementMonitoring
Engagementintheworksetwillbemonitored byteachers.Teacherswilllogworkreceivedas “Submitted”onClassChartsinthefirstinstance. PersonalMentors,studentsandparentscansee thissubmissionrecord.



QualityofWorkReporting
Inadditiontorecordingthesubmissionofwork teacherswillberecordingthequalityofworkon ClassCharts.Pointswillbeawardedforidentified piecesofwork,ortoreflectqualityofworkover severallessons,asappropriate.
Rewards
TeacherswillawardpointsonClassChartsfor engagementaswellasthequalityofwork produced.Teachersmayalsocelebratethe students'progressandsuccessessharingquality workwiththeirpeers,encouragingallstudents tocommitandcompletehighqualitywork.Our halftermlysubjectawardswillcontinue.
IndividualFeedback

Studentswillbeprovidedindividuallywith feedbackonsometasks,activitiesor assignmentsset,tosupporttheirlearning,as wellastheirprogress.Noteverytaskcompleted willreceiveindividualfeedback.Individual feedbackmaybegiventoaddress misconceptionsandtopluggapswhenneeded.
