It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Christmas edition of Waseley News. It has been a wonderful first term at Waseley which has truly set the tone for the new academic year. It has been purposeful, full of extracurricular learning and one that has shown the students and community what to look forward to in the future. Over the summer break we received news of the excellent academic achievements of our students who received their GCSE and A level results. These were a testament to the hard work and dedication of the students and it was lovely to see so many of them go on to their chosen destinations. We started September with a team building day in which students got the chance to test out their teamwork skills in a variety of different activities. It was a time when the student ambassadors in sixth form built that culture of helping each other and welcomed the new Year 7 pupils into our school community. The student body have been closer knit ever since and they enjoyed seeing their teachers run lessons in a different way. September also saw the Year 11 and Sixth Form students gain essential
