6 June 2020 Dear Parents, In light of yesterday’s evening news that the R rate in the North West has risen above 1, and in line with the decision of the majority of local schools, we have postponed the opening of school for Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children. We will therefore not be open on Monday 8th June and, until we have received further clarification and information from the Dfe and Local Authority, we cannot confirm a date for wider opening. We will continue to be open for Keyworker children as planned. This decision has not been taken lightly and I realise will cause some inconvenience, but, at this time the prime consideration must be the safety of the pupils, staff and indeed the wider Kearsley community.
