COVID-19 Home Learning YEARS 1 to 6 In the event of positive cases of Covid-19, we will endeavour to ensure continuity in learning for our children. We will follow the advice of the Local Authority and Public Health England. The response to a positive test could be either:
Isolation of year group bubble(s) or Specific cohorts of children within them
In all cases we will ensure children are able to continue their learning in the best possible way.
What happens if a proportion of a class is isolating and the rest of the children are in school as normal? On Day 1 of isolation (the first full day of a child’s absence), teaching staff will be unable to begin to share their lessons via Class Dojo due to class commitments. On Day 2 Teaching staff will upload lessons via Class Dojo so that isolating children can access similar resources as their peers in school. Children will then upload completed work to their Dojo Portfolio where appropriate. Teachers/support staff will respond with feedback via Dojo.
What happens if a full year group is isolated? On Day 1 of isolation (the first full day of a year group absence), teaching staff will begin to share their lessons via Class Dojo. On Days 2-10 of a 14 day isolation, ALL children will be expected to complete the work set by teachers to the best of their ability. Completed work should be uploaded to their Dojo Portfolio where appropriate. Teachers/support staff will respond with feedback via Dojo. Parents can message teachers via Class Dojo with any concerns. However, we ask that this is done during normal working school hours.
RECEPTION CLASS Reception Class tasks and resources will be shared via Story Park within the same timescales.
Thank you for your invaluable support in these unprecedented times.
