Dear Parents/Carers,
Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope you were able to enjoy the festivities.
With some difficult and challenging months behind us, we look forward to this New Year and what it can bring. We strive to continue to offer our students a high quality education with a rich and holistic curriculum, despite the continuing trials.
Firstly, I would just like to say how proud I am of each and every student within the 6 th Form. Since coming back after the summer, all adapted to our mitigations put in place to maximise control measures whilst reducing the risk of Covid-19. From queuing at the front door, temperature checks & hand sanitising on arrival, to mask wearing and social distancing; all students have adapted to this ‘new normal’ way of school life so well. I would also like to say thank you for your understanding and patience with the temporary closure of the 6th Form last term.
Last term the 6th Form welcomed back 90% of its student’s full time, however with some of our learners unable to physically attend school due to shielding etc we continued to offer educational and social opportunities throughout the school week to these individuals making home learning a key focus.
