Covid

Unfortunately two more classes have had to be closed this week-Beech and Birch The children in these classes are now isolating and taking part in remote learning through Google classrooms. If your child is in Birch or Beech and you are finding this difficult please contact school The school has some laptops it can loan to children who are isolating

Interfaith week

Remembrance Day

It was different to what we would have done usually but a lovely day all the same We celebrated with a whole school virtual assembly led by year 6 and then observed the 2 minute silence.

Children’s University Passports

Please note that all children who handed their passports in before half term have now received them back Please do ensure your child brings this home

If you feel something is missing from your child’s passport please ring Sara Burton on 07805929965 before sending it back into school

Those children who still need their passports updated will be told when to do so and will be asked in a couple of weeks

New Children’s University Members

All those who signed their child up to become a Children’s University member before half term should have received their child’s passport Please ensure this is kept in a safe place and only sent in to

school when asked to do so. If you do have any questions about CU please do contact Sara Burton on 07805929965

Children’s University October Challenges

If any children have completed the October Challenges for Blackburn Children’s University please ensure you send any evidence to Sara Burton on s.burton@wensleyfold.blackburn.sch.uk by the end of next week Nothing will be accepted after this date

Blackburn Festival of Light

This will be taking place online this year and will take place next weekend (21st and 22nd November) Light up your gardens, back yards, alleyways and windows with wonderful creations and send them photos and videos to share with our community Please check out their Facebook page for more information by searching ‘Blackburn Festival of Light’

Please be aware that our text messaging service limits the number of characters we can use This means the text messages have to be short and sometimes they may appear abrupt and not friendly but this is because of the limit of the number of characters

Free School Meals during Isolation

If your child is entitled to free school meals ( not universal free school meals for Reception and KS1 children) and your child is isolating please contact school on 01254 698447 if you would like a food parcel
