WEDNESDAY WORD – “HOPE” LOVE JESUS, LOVE LEARNING, LOVE EACH OTHER. Y4 RECONCILIATION SERVICE The second reconciliation service for our Y4s took place last Saturday. We were really proud of how the children conducted themselves. Well done. SOCHDOC – NON-UNIFORM DAY Our Faith In Action group have requested that all of the children come in their own clothes on Monday 3rd February, with a suggested £1 donation. All money raised is going directly to SOCHDOC (Saint Oswald’s Community Helping Develop Overseas Communities) which is being used to support a school in Malawi this year. We’ll let you know next week how much we’ve raised. SEAGULLS AND MAGPIES ASSEMBLIES On Thursday, the Seagulls class invited their families and friends to their assembly on the theme of Mission. On Friday, the Magpies delivered an engaging assembly on the theme of Journeys, to their families and friends. Thank you for coming to support the children. Next week, the Blackbirds and Starlings will be performing their assemblies On Thursday and Friday. Everybody is welcome. TEAM PHOTOGRAPHS On Monday, Tempest came in and took some group photographs of EYFS , Y6, sports’
teams and school and eco councils. If your child was on a photograph, they will be sent home soon with the order instructions should you wish to purchase any. PTA COPPER CHALLENGE – FINAL CALL Please dig around at home this weekend and try to hunt for any 1ps and 2ps lying around. We’ve already got some full bottles, so please try to see what you can find. There’s been some exciting meetings this week about the proposed trim trail. NO ENTRY VIA THE CAR PARK This is a basic safety rule of the school and we are disappointed with the number of carers and children walking through the car park before school. This will be being monitored. TREAD UK – LOWER KS2 This week, pupils continued with their course. The children were den building on the big field. You can follow Tread UK Woodland Hideout on Facebook and they have lots of exciting events throughout the year with some planned for half term. PLEASE KEEP CHECKING HAIR FOR ANY SPECIAL FRIENDS We are asking all parents and carers to check their child’s hair weekly and treat immediately if any special friends are discovered.
