We can’t wait to have another little addition to the Ozzie’s family and we wish Mrs and Mr Atherton lots of luck and best wishes. We’ll keep you posted. Mrs Higgens is going to be the new class teacher in Owls, covering Mrs Atherton’s maternity leave. Welcome back Mrs Higgens. OUR SOCHDOC DONATION Our week commenced with a non-uniform day in aid of SOCHDOC, organised by our Faith In Action group. We would like to thank you for your donations and we are delighted to announce that we will be sending £300 to the charity. This will be going towards a school in Malawi. BLACKBIRDS AND STARLINGS ASSEMBLIES On Thursday, the Blackbirds class invited their families and friends to their assembly on the theme of Journeys. On Friday, the Starlings delivered an engaging assembly on the theme of Journeys also, to their families and friends. Thank you for coming to support the children. ROBINWOOD – WE’RE COMING FOR YOU! We’re so excited for our annual Y6 residential trip to Robinwood in the Lake District from Monday to Wednesday next week. Don’t forget to pack lots of warm
clothes as the forecast is snow! We’ll keep you posted with lots of photographs and video clips on Twitter. The children will be celebrating their trip further with an assembly on Friday 14th February at 2:30 p.m. All family and friends are welcome to attend. PTA COPPER CHALLENGE – THE VERY FINAL CALL Thank you so much for the generous donations being made to the PTA’s Copper Challenge. This closes next week and we’ll have a final count of how much has been raised. Please keep those coppers rolling in. SUCCESS IN THE POOL Congratulations to our swimmers, who competed in the swimming gala on Thursday. We were delighted with our second place overall. Well done to all of those children involved. You did us proud and brought home lots of medals. SPORTS’ HALL ATHLETICS GUITAR RECITAL Our Y4s have been working hard during their guitar lessons, to be ready for their recital next Thursday. This will take place in the hall at XXXX a.m. All family and friends are welcome.
