WEDNESDAY WORD – “ENCOURAGEMENT” LOVE JESUS, LOVE LEARNING, LOVE EACH OTHER. A FANTASTIC WORLD BOOK
DAY! Yesterday, we celebrated World Book Day and our uniforms were replaced by all sorts of brilliant costumes. The children have all created work to brighten up their classroom doors and they also had an assembly to launch our Readathon, All children took home information about this. Please read it and encourage relatives and friends to sponsor your child. The Readathon runs from Monday 9th March to Monday 20th April and all money needs to be in by 20th April. POTATO CHARACTERS – WOW! The entrance hall is full of a number of potato characters on display. It was very tricky to make a decision. The winners were: Amaya, James and Terry. Those three children all received a £10 book token. We couldn’t get over the creativity of our children. The pictures are on Twitter and we’re sure that you’ll agree, the standard was really high. WAGTAILS’ ASSEMBLY Wagtails’ performed their assembly yesterday morning on the theme of World Book Day. All of the children contributed and there were songs, readings and even a catwalk show.
