OZZIE’S NEWS – 24.1.20

WEDNESDAY WORD – “COMMUNITY” LOVE JESUS, LOVE LEARNING, LOVE EACH OTHER. Y4 RECONCILIATION SERVICE This took place last Saturday at St. Oswald’s Church and the staff have reported it was a special time together and that the singing was lovely. The remaining pupils will be attending their Reconciliation Service tomorrow at 11:00 A.M. Everybody is welcome. OWLS’ AND EAGLES’ ASSEMBLY On Thursday, the Owls class entertained their families with an excellent assembly on the theme of Mission. The children danced, did drama, sang and shared their missions. On Friday, Deacon Paul and Susan joined the Eagles as they delivered an engaging assembly on Mission also to their families and friends. The children had written the assembly all themselves and had organised themselves into teams. Both assemblies gave us lots to think about. Next week, the Seagulls and Magpies will be performing their assemblies. Everybody is welcome. INVENTORS’ CLUB We have got an Inventors’ Club starting on Tuesday 28th January, from 3:30 – 4:45 p.m. and we’ve still got a few spaces left. If your child is interested or you would like to find out more, please register your child on this website: theinventors.io/register TREAD UK – LOWER KS2 This week, pupils continued with their course and they were learning fire lighting skills. The children are really enjoying the

various challenges. You can follow Tread UK Woodland Hideout on Facebook and they have lots of exciting events throughout the year. PTA COPPER CHALLENGE We’ve got off to a great start with the Copper Challenge. Please keep the coppers coming in for the children. PARKING REMINDER We’d like to remind you not to park in any of the medical centre parking spaces. We’ve had reports of parents and relatives parking in the disabled spaces to collect their children. This has caused issues for the patients, making them late for appointments. Please use the market, St. Oswald’s Church car park or the car park on Millingford Grove and walk in. HITS, HYMNS AND CELEBRATIONS IS BACK Today, the children have brought in their special awards and achievements. It’s so great to find out more about our pupils’ interests out of school. Congratulations to our pupils who have achieved success in: swimming, judo, dance, gymnastics and roller skating to name a few examples. Please send in any awards next Friday.
