WEDNESDAY WORD – “LOVE.” LOVE JESUS, LOVE LEARNING, LOVE EACH OTHER. ASSEMBLIES Thank you for coming to the Eaglets’ and Owlets’ assembly this week on the theme of Autumn. Have a look on the website and Twitter for photographs. There are also links to our You Tube channel on Twitter so that you can access film clips. POPPIES FOR SALE Poppies and British Legion goods are for sale. Suggested donation is 20p for a poppy and other goods range from 50p to £1. CHILDREN IN NEED Raffle tickets are now on sale to win a Giant Pudsey. Tickets cost £1 and will be on sale until Friday 16th November. The draw will be made on this day. We will all be having a non-uniform day and will be wearing spots for Children In Need in return for a donation for the charity. FRIENDS OF ASHTON MEMORIAL GARDEN We will be taking the KS2 children over to the memorial garden throughout next week to conduct their own collective worships. We will also be displaying the poppies made by the pupils in school next week. Monday is the last day for the homemade poppies from the children. Lest we forget. ST. OSWALD’S PTA We are pleased to announce that our PTA has lots of exciting plans to raise funds for St.

Oswald’s in the near future. They are holding their AGM on Wednesday 7th November at 5.p.m. at school. SCHOOL PHOTOGRAPHS The pupils had their photographs taken this week. We need all orders to be returned to school by Friday 9 th November. THE YEAR OF THE EUCHARIST This year, the Catholic Church is celebrating the Year of the Eucharist. Some of our Y5 pupils have been creating art work with Mrs Hill, to display for the rest of the school. ART WORK Some of the children’s art work will be displayed on the hoardings around the Medical Centre building site, next week. The posters created by the children were based on the theme of, “Healthy Living,” and, “Building Site Safety.” DEFIBRILLATOR IN SCHOOL We now have a defibrillator situated in school outside the main office. Staff, Y5 and Y6 pupils are being trained up on how to use this on a rolling programme. BONFIRE SAFETY Please have fun over the weekend, but also stay safe. The pupils have been revisiting the Firework Code in classes. The fire service visited the Y6 pupils on Thursday, to
