OZZIE’S NEWS – 18.1.19

WEDNESDAY WORD – “JOY” LOVE JESUS, LOVE LEARNING, LOVE EACH OTHER. MORE GREAT CHARITY WORK FROM OUR PUPILS This week, we have received letters from 2 charities thanking our children for their work and donations. Firstly, we received a letter from Cancer Research thanking Nathaniel Maddock and Clayton Holt for their donation of £109.77 and also we received the following from Alzheimer’s Society for Ruby Turnock and Maggie Allen-Brown – “Thank you both so so SO much for your amazing, slime-tastic, gunge-filled, gooey goodness. Your £138.60 (amazing!) will help us to support more people with dementia, carry out more research and campaign for the rights of people with dementia. And all because of SLIME!!!” NSPCC VISIT AND FUNDRAISER The children have received an assembly from Karen from the NSPCC all about times when they should: Speak out. Stay safe. The children have learned about what is and isn’t acceptable and have been reminded about Childline – 0800 1111. They learned a special action to help them to remember the number. The Y5 and Y6 pupils have all accessed an additional workshop on when to Speak out. Stay safe. Thank you to those parents and carers who attended the workshop. There are some fantastic resources on the NSPCC website if you want further information. The children will be doing their Daily Mile for the NSPCC next Thursday and have brought home their sponsor forms tonight. All donations will be greatly appreciated and the children are aiming to be the best fundraising class.
