Dear Parent Carers, Duke Of Edinburgh – Bronze Award Update
As you are aware, as part of your child’s D of E award, they have to embark on an expedition over a duration of two days, one night. Upon completion, they should receive their full award, providing they have previously completed the other three sections.
Due to the recent change in staffing with Howard Dodds moving on, the dates for the practice and qualifying expeditions are being changed. Way Ahead, an experienced training provider who support expeditions with a variety of schools across the country, will support the DofE award - https://wayahead-training.co.uk/
The dates for the trips are as follows:
Bronze expedition –Tuesday 27th – Wednesday 28th June
There will be a Parent/Carer information evening held closer to the time. Hopefully this will answer any questions or queries you have.
