Healthy Schools Bulletin – January 2021 In this bi-weekly bulletin, we begin with a special feature on self-care and wellbeing which we have put together for our colleagues working in education.
Self-care and wellbeing for those working in education It is entirely understandable that many people including those working in education may be finding this uncertain time difficult. Research by Education Support (the mental health and wellbeing charity) suggests that the coronavirus crisis is considerably affecting many educators’ wellbeing and mental health. At this challenging time, we recognise that it is more important than ever to offer support our courageous and dedicated colleagues in education. We have put together some information and links below that we hope you will find useful to share with colleagues in your school. You will also find a copy of an information sheet on sources of support for staff attached to this email. Please share this, and the links below, with your school community. You may also find it useful to have a look through yourself.
Self-care The NHS offers some practical tips to care for both your mind and your body. Please visit: Mental Wellbeing While Staying At Home | Every Mind Matters | One You (www.nhs.uk) for advice on looking after your mental wellbeing while staying at home.
