Twelfth Night is approaching fast…

Pupils in Shakespeare Club will be rehearsing all day at the academy this Saturday in preparation for performances of "Twelfth Night” on 12th - 14th July (with a different cast each night).

Our version uses Shakespeare's authentic language, but is set in the 1980's, with a soundtrack to match. The weather is set fair, so get your picnic ready and book your FREE tickets now! They are available from The Frome Festival box office at fromefestival.co.uk. There will also be updates on the 'What' s On" page of the Academy website. https://www.oakfieldacademy.co.uk/whats-on/frome-festivaldetails-for-12th-night

If music be the food of love, play on… We hope to see you there!

YEAR EIGHT SCHOOL MEALS

Kindly note that from Friday 30th June Year 8 pupils will not be allowed to go overdrawn on their school meal accounts. The catering staff will not be able to serve them if this is the case and you will need to provide them with a lunch. Please kindly top up your child’s account to ensure there are sufficient funds to last until the end of term. THANK YOU.

On Thursday 22nd June Our Y7 & Y8 pupils played a Rounders match at home against Avanti School, Frome. It was a scorching afternoon and both teams performed brilliantly in the heat with some great batting making it an exciting game to watch. As Avanti brought a mixed team we also invited several boys but unfortunately only one of these were able to play so thank you Archie Pearce for participating alongside the girls. !

Our player of the match was selected by Avanti and was Maddie Harris – well done for a great game!!! The overall result was Oakfield won 16 rounders to 11 ½ . A massive well done to all involved – Hannah Puleston, Lily Shirvell, Daisy Hartland, Ivy Bowers, Lilly Manaia, Lily Vicary, Maddie Harris, Ellie Burgess, and Demi Ramnarain.
