Edition No 30 2022/2023

We received a lovely banner from the Wessex Learning Trust this week. Our application process for joining, following our Board of Trustees decision in December is underway.

The SW Region Group received the application in February and we are in the queue, waiting for it to be heard by their monthly Advisory Board.

We’ll keep you posted with any progress and invite you all to come and hear more about it once they’ve approved it.

PLASTIC BAG APPEAL FROM YEAR SEVEN

During Activities Week our Year Seven pupils will be exploring plastic fashion. If you have any spare bags, kindly consider donating them to this activity. Plastic bags can be dropped into Reception. Thank you.

Our two Quad areas have now been formally named as MAPLE and ASH, they looked great this week in the sunshine.

Somerset Council is funding free school meals for the May Half term holiday 2023.

Children and young people who receive free school meals will be entitled to vouchers to half them through this break. These vouchers are worth £10 per child, per week.

If your child is riding their bike to Oakfield Academy, it is COMPULSORY that they are wearing a cycle helmet.
