Great Big Green Week 11th-18th September The week is jam packed with a variety of events that celebrate our green spaces and how we can work together to look after our planet. There are lots of family friendly events throughout the week including walks, crafts and bicycle fun.

Bike Jumble, Cheese and Grain/Canoe Club car park Sunday 11th September 12-3pm Over 100 bikes will be on sale at the bike jumble. From kids and adults bikes to parts for projects, there will be something for everyone! Profits from this year’s jumble will support Frome Community Bike Project, a new bike recycling centre and community cycle hub for Frome, making cycling more accessible to all. After rummaging at the jumble head along the river walk to Welshmill playpark to celebrate the pump track’s 10th birthday with BMX stunt shows, pedal powered fun, bling your bike and a pet rescue bike obstacle course.

Kindly check your paypal balance regularly to ensure there are sufficient funds to pay for your child’s meals.

THE PE DEPARTMENT

Friday 9th September 2022, all Oakfield pupils and staff met on the yard to commemorate the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. In total silence they all stood and listened sombrely as Mr Oates played ‘God Save The King’ for the first time.
