Theme: Victorians
Instructions:
• Choose and complete at least 6 activities over the course of the half-term.
• Hand in through Seesaw or bring into school.
• Each piece will be worth 1-10 house points.
• We expect you to complete each homework task with care.
• We expect you to complete each homework to the best of your ability.

Build and make
Design, build and make a historically accurate model of a Victorian building. It could could be a school, workhouse, house, factory or mabye even a shop.
Going to war.
Research the British army during the Victorian era. Label a soldier and show what equipment they would need. Is this different from what you know about WW2?
Art and Design
Find out about an artist from the Victorian era and research their work. Create a mood board of their work then design your own version using their style.
Maths Activities
Design a Victorian outfit Research and make your own outfit that could be used to dress up a doll in a museum. Try to use fabrics suitable to the time.
Map it out
Draw a map of the British Empire at different points during the era.
Now and Then collage
Create a two-=sided poster showing now and then. This could include school life, clothing, sports, entertainment, music or anything that you think is interesting.
Fact file
Research and complete a fact file on one of the countries in the British Empire.
Cooking Challenge
Find a Victorian recipe and cook it. Write your own recipe and instructions to help someone else cook it of write a review as a food critic.
Read all about it
Find out about a significant event between 1837 and 1901 and write a newspaper article for the event. – Use teabags to make the paper look old.

English Activities
A piece of SPAG homework will be posted on seesaw to be completed each week. Read your reading book each week and a book of your own choice. Writing activities will be given each week and posted onto seesaw. Use Purple mash to complete educational games/activities for Topic and computing.
