• Choose and complete at least 6 activities over the course of the half-term.

• Hand in through Seesaw or bring into school before the deadline.

• Each piece will be worth 1-10 house points.

• We expect you to complete each homework task with care.

• We expect you to complete each homework to the best of your ability.

Explore the coding online program Scratch. Or download the free app Scratch Junior. Use your coding skills to create your own stories and games. Send a picture on seesaw to show your work.

Population Finder

Research and create a list of the top 10 largest countries in the world, their population, who runs them and which continent they are in.

Landmark Models

Pick one of Europe's famous landmarks (E.g. Stone Henge, Big Ben, Eiffel Tower) and make a model out of recycled objects from around your home.

Communicate

Use your computer to research to create a list of how to say ‘hello’ in 10 different countries of Europe. Practice at home and impress us with your language skills in class!

Let’s play

Create a board game to play with your peers. You might want to spend time playing board games with your family to get ideas for your game.

Real or Not?

Share with your family and friends some of the facts and information you have found out about the Loch Ness Monster. Ask them if they think the Loch Ness Monster exists , maybe they and you could draw what you think it looks like!

Tourist Information

Create a poster advertising a holiday to Berlin. Make sure to include some pictures of its landmarks to really make people want to visit there.

Art

Use chalks, pastels, paints or pencils to create an image of the Northern Lights. What are the Northern Lights and which European countries might you visit to see this phenomenon?

Food glorious food

Find a famous dish from another European country and cook it with your family. Remember to send pictures on See-Saw of you enjoying it and share the recipe.

Ask the question

Create your own quiz, word search or anagram using facts or key words we have used during the half term. You might choose our science topic or our geography work? We will try and complete your quiz!

Children’s choice

Have your own homework idea linked to our topic or what we have been learning about. Extra points for creativity.

Maths Activities

• Learn and practice the times table facts for 4-, 8- and 6-times tables on TT Rockstars

• Practice using the written methods for addition and subtraction of four-digit numbers – including exchanges (more information will be posted on See Saw)

English Activities

• Write your own stories.

• Read non-fiction books and learn/write facts.

• Read poems and write your own.

• Read and spell the words for year 3.

• Use Purple mash to complete educational games/activities for Maths, English or Topic.
