What can you do in a minute?

Ask an adult to time you for one minute. How many times can you jump in one minute? How tall can you make a tower in one minute? Can you write your name in one minute? What else can you do in one minute?

UK Explorer

Have a look at a map of the UK. Which places have you visited in the UK? Do you have any photos from your time there? Mark the places you have been to on your map.

Reading Book

Read your school reading book with an adult. Write a book review telling us what you like and did not like about the story.

Claude Monet

Draw or paint a picture of your back garden.

Following Instructions

Choose a recipe or Lego kit and practise following instructions, sticking exactly to what they say.

Water Scientist

Design and carry out an experiment to decide which materials are water proof and which aren’t. Choose 8 materials and test them by pouring water over them. Make sure you check which materials you use with an adult

Button Multiplication

Build an array using chocolate buttons! (other items such as, toys, grapes or anything else you have enough of are ok)

Begin to make arrays by making equal groups and building them up in columns or rows.

Summer Walk

Go for a walk with your family and find evidence of Summer. You can either collect artefacts or take pictures of what you find!

Weekend Diary

Write a diary entry of something that you did over the weekend that you found exciting. Don’t forget to include time words, capital letters and full stops!

Phonics Check

Can you use all the sounds we have learnt to make us some nonsense words? Write a list of 10 real and 10 nonsense words and play buried treasure with them!

Guess the material

Choose 5 objects from around your house. Can you label them to say what material they are made out of? Do you think that it is the best material for the object? Why? Why not?
