Make a Crown
In our history this term we are learning about the Kings and Queens of the UK. Can you make a crown fit for a king or Queen?
Research Henry VIII’s wives.
Henry VIII was a famous King of England a long time ago but he is most famous for his wives. He had 6 wives. Watch the Horrible Histories episode to learn about them. Can you create a poster?
Music
This half term we are recapping all the songs we have learnt in Year 2. Which song was your favourite? Can you find equipment around your house to use as instruments? See if you can play your instrument whilst singing the song.
Science
In autumn term we looked at life cycles. In year 2 we have some butterflies. Can you draw me a life cycle of a butterfly? Try and use the scientific language to go with it!
Create a habitat for an animal or insect
Create a habitat for an animal/insect of your choice. Can you tell me what that animal needs to survive?
Story setting
Think about a place you have been to before. Create a story setting using adjectives to describe this place. Was it busy? Or Was it peaceful?
Research a famous landmark in the United Kingdom
Research a famous landmark in the United Kingdom. You can build a model of this place or draw a picture.
Rewind- What can you remember?
Research a castle in the UK and draw a picture of a castle. Remember to add the key features. Can you label the features that you have added to your castle?
Make a fact file about a British King or Queen.
In History we will be learning about British Kings and Queen. Can you choose one to create a fact file to share with your peers?

Can you create a block chart of your family/friends favourite colours?
Judaism
In RE we will be learning about Judaism. Can you research facts about Judaism?
Children’s choice
Have your own homework idea linked to our topic or what we have been learning about. Extra points for creativity.
Maths Activities
• Practise telling the time to o’clock and half past.
• Practise counting in 2s, 5s, 10s. Can you count forwards and backwards?
English Activities
• Practise handwriting.
• Write stories.
• Read and spell the words for year 1 and year 2.
• Read 3x a week.
• Share your library book with your family. Remember you can change how often you need.
