Half-term: Summer 2 (Monday 3rd June – Monday 15th July)
Theme: Under the Sea
Instructions:
• Choose and complete at least 6 activities over the course of the half-term.
• Hand in through Seesaw or bring into school before the deadline.
• Each piece will be worth 1-10 house points.
• We expect you to complete each homework task with care.
• We expect you to complete each homework to the best of your ability.

Sharing
Collect some tasty treats (e.g. smarties, biscuits, sweets) Practice sharing the items between 2 people and 3 people.
Create a beach
Using any materials that you have, (pens, lego, playdough, junk, natural materials) to create a beach.
Don’t Judge a Book by its Cover
What is your favourite book? Mine is the Snail and the Whale! Can you design a new book cover for your favourite book?
Word Hunting
Ask an adult to write these words on pieces of paper. bucket, sand, shell, boat, sun, rockpool, cliff.
Ask them to hide them around a garden or space. Can you find the words and read them to your adult?
Answer the Question
How has the seaside changed since the past?
Summer
Go for a walk with your family and find evidence of summer. You can either collect artefacts or take pictures of what you find!
Floating and sinking
Choose 8 objects in your house. Do you think they will float or sink if you put them in the bath? Test out each item and write which of them float or sink.
Postcards
What is a postcard? Have you ever received a postcard?
Write a postcard to a friend pretending you are on holiday. Where did you go? What did you do while you were there? What did you eat?
Seaside Playdoh
Can you make a sea creature out of playdoh? What colours do you need to use?
Marvellous Maps
Draw a map of how to get from your house to school. What buildings do you pass on the way to school? Do you pass any grass spaces? If you come in a car, do you go on any roundabouts?
Lighthouse Lookout
Can you build a lighthouse? What could you use to make it light up? What colours do you need to make a lighthouse?

Have your own homework idea linked to our topic or what we have been learning about. Extra points for creativity.
