This week our Form Captains became Effective Discussion Leaders after receiving training via TEAMS from our Chair of Governors Mr Swindells and Mrs Violet. The session focused on preparing Form Captains to discuss the Big Question with their Form Groups next week. During the training students were given advice on how to present to an audience, manage different personalities, note taking, time management and debating skills. " I was really nervous about standing in front of the class but I now feel that this has given me some confidence. Thank you for helping me to prepare ."

What job do you do at Ashton?

I currently work as the Second in the Maths Faculty.

As well as that, I love to get involved in the wider school life, so I am resident King Taskmaster and Head of Booth house!

What did you do before you started at Ashton?

After hanging up my paper boy bag for life, I started as a Maths teacher at Morecambe Community High School.

What is the best thing about working at Ashton?

The school community, there is no place better!

Exciting, family, academic (suits me well) What book are you reading at the moment?

I am currently reading Lord Sugars autobiography, What You See Is What You Get.
