Subsidised College Bus Services The College offers subsidised bus services to provide an economical, dedicated direct bus service to and from the college to reduce travel time and expense.

The College currently offers subsidised services from the following areas:

Education Bus Routes The following bus services serve schools and colleges in the Birkenhead area and drop-off/pick-up within walking distance from the college.

Route 611: Greasby to Edgerton Road via West Kirby, Heswall, Arrowe Park and Upton.

Route 705: Pensby to Oxton via Gayton, Lower Heswall, Irby and Arrowe Park.

Heswall Service - incorporating Heswall, Pensby and Irby

Route 701: Boathouse Lane to Oxton via Arrowe Park Gates.

South Wirral Service - incorporating Eastham, Bromborough, Bebington areas

Route 651: From Woodchurch/Ackers Road via Ackers Road, Woodchurch Road, Holm Lane, Talbot Road, Gerald Road, Shrewsbury Road to the College.

Year Pass: £150

Route 612: Mill Park to Edgerton Road via Bromborough, Bebington and Claughton Village.

Term Time Pass: £55 Individual bus tickets are also available to purchase in advance, priced at £1.

Route 702: Caldy to Oxton via West Kirby, Greasby and Upton.

Route 703: Frankby to Oxton via Meols and Moreton Cross.

NEW Neston Service This service will be NEW for the 2016/17 academic year and will run based on the amount of interest from the Neston area.

Route 420: Covering West Kirby, Newton, Frankby, Greasby, Upton, Claughton, Liverpool.

Free Shuttle Bus Service

Route 38: Covering West Kirby, Hoylake, Meols, Moreton, Bidston, Claughton, Birkenhead, Tranmere, Rock Ferry, Lower Bebington, Bebington.

College offers a FREE shuttle bus service for students from Hamilton Square and Conway Park direct to college.

Route 41, 42: Covering Arrowe Park, Woodchurch, Prenton, Birkenhead, Rock Ferry, New Ferry, Bromborough, Eastham, Mill Park.

The shuttle bus runs in the mornings during term time at the following times: Hamilton Square: 8.35am Conway Park: 8.40am Students are required to show their bus pass to board the bus. There is no charge for the bus service.

Route 12: Covering Arrowe Park, Woodchurch, Upton, Noctorum, Oxton, Claughton, Birkenhead.

Route 10, 10A: Covering New Brighton, Liscard, Claughton, Noctorum, Upton Village, Arrowe Park Hospital.

Route 18: Covering Moreton Cross, Sandbrook, Bidston, Claughton, Birkenhead Route 407: Covering Town Meadow, Moreton, Bidston, Birkenhead, Liverpool (there is a short walk required from Laird Steet).

Rail Birkenhead Park is the nearest rail station and is a 10-15 minute walk through or around the park itself.

Students can also go to Hamilton Square or Conway Park stations and use the free College Shuttle bus service directly to college.

Frequent trains travel along West Kirby, New Brighton routes on the Wirral Line.

Subsidised Travel Subsidised travel passes are available to students who live more than 3 miles away from the college to use during term time, Mon-Fri (8am-8pm).

Free Travel Students in receipt of the Bursary scheme are eligible for free travel to the college - further information is available at www.bsfc.ac.uk or from the Learner Services Office.

Connections are available from: Liverpool (Change to Wirral Line at Moorfields or James Street)

Ellesmere and Chester (Change at Hamilton Square or you can take the college bus).

Driving Directions College is easily accessed by car just off the A5027 (Upton Road / Park Road North). We are a 5 minute drive from Birkenhead Town Centre and simple to drive to from other locations such as West Kirby, Wallasey, Hoylake and Liscard.

Parking is limited on the College campus, street parking is available nearby.
