WW1 Remembrance

Page 1

We remember! Moor Hey were lucky to secure a Heritage Lottery Fund Grant. The grant allowed for fantastic artwork to be completed at school and in four other schools across Lancashire. The pupils also took part in a carousel day learning about the animals who were used in WW1, made poppies and found out about life in the trenches. They even tried some of the food available during that time. We ended the remembrance celebrations with a Peace Party. All the art work was displayed, and the children ate and afternoon tea and sang WW1 songs.
