By following the link to the live online lesson on Microsoft Teams:  I agree to my child/children taking part in live online lessons, following the expectations and etiquette outlined below.  I confirm that I have discussed the protocols with my child/children and they understand each protocol.

Staff Protocols Post a clear timetable for online learning to pupils through Class Dojo, either the Portfolio or Class Story function. Links to online lessons through Microsoft Teams will be shared via Class Dojo, times will correspond to those outlined on timetables. Pupils will be made aware which member of staff they will be meeting in the line online lesson and which activity will be the focus. Staff will have a register prepared so that they are aware which children will be joining the live online lesson. Staff will use their school Teams account and school email to login. Staff will follow the structure outlined for live online lessons. Staff will reinforce expectations of behaviour that they would in the physical classroom. Staff will involve each child in conversation and discussion, modelling learning as they would in each classroom.

Staff will visit children’s portfolios to feedback on their work from the session to recognise successes and address misconceptions. Staff will arrange a time for regular ‘check ins’ with their live online lesson group. This will be communicated via Class Dojo.

Parent Protocols I will have supported my child to consult the timetable on Class Dojo and follow the link to the live online lesson on Microsoft Teams provided in Class Dojo. I will download the Microsoft Teams App and familiarise myself and my child with how it works. I will check Class Dojo to receive timetabled and online lesson links. I will ensure that equipment needed is charged prior to the live online lesson and support my child in finding a suitable space to work in that is conducive to learning. I will support my child’s positive learning behaviours and ensure that they are ready for learning. I understand that if my child is unable to engage with the lesson positively and is preventing others learning their online lesson will end. Whilst supporting my child’s learning I will understand that I am in an educational environment and conduct myself as I would in a school and around children. I will support my child in sharing their work in their Class Dojo portfolios. I will ensure that my child does not access Microsoft Teams other than for timetabled online lessons. I will understand that school staff will only access Class Dojo between 8am & 6pm and will respond to messages within 24 hours

Pupil Protocols I will have breakfast, get dressed and clean my teeth before beginning my learning for the day. I will make sure that I have writing equipment ready. I will find a comfortable place to sit and learn without lots of distractions. I will make sure that my device is charged. When I sign in I will use my first name.

I will communicate politely and thoughtfully, showing kindness and patience, just as I would in the classroom. I will wait my turn to share ideas. I will follow the instructions given by my adult during the online live lesson and ask for help if I need it. I will not use the share function. I will not record, take photographs or screenshots of the live online lesson or the lesson content. I will be responsible for my actions whilst using Teams. I will stay on mute unless my adult asks me to speak. I will not message or call others on Teams. If anything upsets me whilst working on line, I will tell someone immediately. I will share all my work on my portfolio, on Class Dojo for my teachers to see. If I need any help, I will contact my teacher through Class Dojo.
