Develop an understanding of the history of music through performance on tuned and untuned instruments. We will improvise melodic patterns inspired by the 12 bar blues and be able to identify prominent melodic material. We will learn to notate and read music through graphic score and compose a class piece of music in Rondo form which will be notated in this format.

In our Creative Curriculum theme this term we are exploring the theme Stand Up for Survival and making meaningful connections between our learning in science, our English work on Hunger Games and how we can contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. We will consider geographical questions on a global scale and develop our understanding of our role in our world. To celebrate our learning we will be holding an exhibition event, to which you are invited.
