Lomeshaye Life We have almost completed another half term at school. This week has been a really great one for pupils, with visitors coming from Wheatley Lane Primary and two of our Year 3 classes visiting their partner school, Park Primary, too. Why not read on to find out more? A huge well done to everyone that attended school over the last week, where our whole school attendance figure was 96.2%. Congratulations to everyone that got to school this week, we are still above our whole school target, I hope that this continues for our last week of school too. Children’s Mental Health Week— On Monday morning we were all in the whole school assembly with Mrs Brunton, who helped everyone in school to “Find their Brave”. This week was Children’s Mental Health Week and Mrs Brunton shared a story of how everyone at school had helped her to be brave following the loss of someone very close to her. She played a special song on the guitar and sang, with the whole school joining in at the chorus. It was a great way to start the week and be thankful for all of our friends. Year 3 and 4 with Park Primary and Wheatley Lane Primary School — Also on Monday we were visited in school by pupils from Wheatley Lane Primary School and also our Year 3 pupils went out to see some of their new friends at Park Primary School. The children were able to work together to create fantastic pieces of art which will be displayed in our school over the coming week. Year 5 Macbeth Performance— All of our wonderful actors and actresses have been working so hard on their version of the Shakespeare play, Macbeth. The date for the performance to parents has changed and will now be on the afternoon of Tuesday 11th February.
