Lomeshaye Life As we come towards the end of our first term in school there is plenty to look back on and feel proud about. This week we have had a special visitor in school and next week is our important assessment week for all pupils. Why not read on to find out some more? Well done to everyone that attended school over the last week. Our penultimate assembly of this first term has been very impressive for attendance. This week the whole school attendance figure was 98% which is OUTSTANDING news. What is even more impressive is that one class achieved 100% attendance and they were 6 Elder. Congratulations to everyone that made it to school this week. I hope that these figures continue to remain high for the last week of this school term! Recycling Assembly—On Wednesday of this week we welcomed a visitor to our school. This visitor was a lady called Rachael who worked at a recycling company called Biffa. Rachael shared a presentation and then asked for pupils to ask her questions, which was great. Rachael also helped our pupils to think about the types of recycling they can do and she was very impressed with their knowledge which they shared with her. Assessment Week—next week is an assessment week at school which means that all children should be in school, on time, every day. Please make sure your child gets enough quality sleep over the weekend and that they eat well and come to school every day having had their breakfast so that they are ready to show how much they have learnt over the last 6 weeks of school.
