Lomeshaye Life It has been a very cold and snowy week at Lomeshaye but thank you to parents for bringing your children every day and investing in their education. Hopefully there won’t be more bad weather on the way. Let’s take a look at what has been happening in school this week. Well done to everyone who made it to school this week. Our attendance figures have remained positive and the wonderful news for the whole school is that we HAVE MET OUR TARGET, with 96.4% of the school attending. Congratulations and lets see if this can get even higher next week. Parents Governor Voting—Thank you to everyone who has sent in their votes for the new parent governors at Lomeshaye Junior School. We are now in the process of counting the ballot papers and will announce on Monday who the two new school governors are. National Story Telling Week—This week Nicole has been working in school on a project for National Story Telling Week. The children have been introduced to the Aboriginal tale of The Rainbow Serpent and have taken part in acting with Nicole as well as creating a wonderful piece of art work using the dot painting skill that Aborigines have used for centuries. We are now be in the process of creating an art installation in the gallery to display the wonderful work that has been completed. Sickness and Diarrhoea— there have been a number of sickness and diarrhoea cases in school this week. Please ensure that your children are washing their hands regularly and using tissues when coughing and sneezing to restrict the spread of germs.
