We continue to make good progress as a Trust and the camaraderie has been clear to see over the last 12 weeks. Our sharing of good practice, and the many examples of schools and colleagues supporting others, is clear to see.
We wish you all a relaxing summer break as we get ready to respond to new challenges ahead, Newsletter—Edition 1 Winter 2015 and look forward to tackle September with fresh eyes and rejuvenated energy. Paul and Vikki

Tutor Trust We have secured a 10% discount for all Archdiocese schools on a standard package of tutoring from Tutor Trust, starting from September 1st. Ideally, schools would book in a package (or several packages) of tutoring before the end of this term (and certainly before the end of August). We understand that the catch-up money that is going directly from DfE to schools in September (the £650m) works out at £91 extra for every student. This sum covers half of the cost of a child taking part in a regular Tutor Trust tutoring programme. Package of face-to-face tutoring from Tutor Trust (Maths, English or Science) 1. For Secondary, 15 pupils per school; for Primary, 12 pupils per school 2. Pupils of any ability level, from Y5 to Y11 3. 15 hours of tutoring for each pupil in one subject 4. Tutoring delivered on a 1:3 ratio in school 5. We would ask schools to ensure that at least 80% of the tutees are Pupil Premium or Looked After Children 6. The cost to each school would be £2,250 per package (10% discount on our usual costs); cost per child for the whole programme would be £150 for Secondary and £187 for Primary 7. Costs include DBS checks, plus all tutor prep and planning time for sessions and meetings with/ feedback to schools (as a charity, we do not charge VAT) Schools interested in the standard offer from Tutor Trust should complete the Tuition Request Form that is attached and return this to Steffani Wardell Steffani.Wardell@thetutortrust.org
