Organisational Information Learning at home: The first priority is Phonics. Phonics revision should be practised at home as frequently as needed. In the beginning, your child will take home the phonics sounds that they have learned throughout that week at school. After this they will receive phonics practice for the phonics phase that they are working at. The next priority is reading (because, once you can read well, you are then able to access all other learning). All children will read individually to an adult at least once a week. The book that they have read, along with its page numbers, will be recorded in your child’s school diary on that day’s date. Your child will be given the opportunity to change their reading book twice each week. In Reception, this will be on Mondays and Thursdays. We encourage children to read at home every day. Children must ensure that their reading book and school diary are in school every day. Following that, effort should be spent trying to engage with the half termly homework, which link to the themes/topics taught in school. Please note, we love to see examples of homework (paper based or via dojo). Communication: Class Dojo – this is used to communicate to parents/teachers, share news, set reminders and to keep you upto date with your childs dojo point score. Seesaw – This is used as an online learning journey. Here you can see observations of your child, posted by the EYFS staff. You can also comment, like and add your own observations. PE will take place every Monday. For the Autumn term, your child should come into school wearing their PE kit.

Class Assembly Date: Friday 18th June 9.15am
