Pupil voice gives you the opportunity to play an active role in decisions that affect you. You can plan and review the actions you have taken as well as taking responsibility for how this will happen.

Article 12 - Respect for the child's views: When adults make decisions that affect children, children have the right to say what they think should happen and that their views are taken into account.

PUPIL VOICE STRUCTURE

Our School Captains- Pupil Voice Chairpersons

Hi, I’m Emma, one of the current school captains. I am studying Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A Level. As well as this, I am the secretary of the STEM society for this academic year, and I also take part in the school’s discussion group, where we debate about topics of importance at the time. Additionally, I am a corporal in the Combined Cadet Force at school, and last year I was one of the Pupil Voice leaders for the Eco Committee.

Hi, I’m Oliver, one of the current school captains. In sixth form, I study Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Computer Science. I am also a member of the school’s rugby and cricket squads. Last year, I was the pupil voice leader for the school’s community committee alongside other commitments. This year I am in the process of completing my Gold DofE award.

Over the next academic year we look forward to listening to everyone's ideas on how we can improve all aspects of life at Kirkham. We hope to do this by providing a space where every student feels comfortable and involved with decisions made around school. We want to make sure that every sub committee is heard and all pupils have an equal opportunity to share their ideas.

Our School Vice Captains- Support Pupil Voice Chairpersons

I’m Grace one of the vice school captains. I study Psychology, Economics and Geography at A Level. I’m still planning what I want to do after Kirkham, but this year alongside A Levels, I’m completing my Gold DofE, and I’m a Company Sergeant Major in the CCF. I’ve been at Kirkham for 14 years and have been part of all aspects of school life!

I’m Charlie one of the current school vice captains. I study Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A Level. I aspire to study medicine at university.

Furthermore, this year, I am the Regimental Sergeant Major in the Combined Cadet Force and I plan on completing my Gold DofE Award. This year I am also secretary of the Medical Society where we help aspiring medics get into medicine! Last year, I was one of the Pupil Voice leaders for the Curriculum Committee.
