How do I join Reading Heroes?
• Come to Knott End Library any time from 1st July
• Register for the reading scheme
• Receive your Reading Heroes booklet
Open your booklet for a fun surprise…
• Read books 1 & 2 – collect first sticker (castle) and receive a superhero mask
• Read books 3 & 4 – collect second sticker (beach)
• Read book 5 and state your favourite – collect third sticker (ending), your medal and a certificate!
How do I become a Reading Superhero?
• Complete the reading part of the scheme
• Complete 3 tasks from a choice of 5 listed in the booklet.
• Complete both the reading section and the task section and be entered into a prize draw for one of 12 Lego kits up to a value of £50!
The tasks are:
• Join in with an event at your library this summer
• Use your science skills to create a getaway vehicle
• Make a splash! Experiment with water
• Brighten your day by making a rainbow
• Visit a Lancashire museum or Lancashire Archives

The villain "The Spoiler" is so good at spoiling things they have even managed to spoil all pictures of Paige. This means the booklet has an extra activity in it so you can colour Paige in whatever colours you want, but also means that we can have a colouring competition!
• A special colouring sheet of Paige Turner children can use to enter in the library
• We will display these on our special display board
• In September we will nominate from the best one, with a single winner being selected from all of Lancashire Libraries
• The winner will win a Lego kit up to £50
• With the winner’s permission, we will feature them in a cameo role in next year's comic!
