Civic Mayor of Tameside visit

This week we had an exciting visit from the Civic Mayor of Tameside, Councillor Betty Affleck who was presenting the Arts Award to the children in Year 4. The children had completed the Arts Award Discover project with local artist Caroline Coates with the theme ‘Good to be Green’ . The children really enjoyed the project and commented on how exciting it was to have the artist working with them and thoroughly enjoyed creating their mosaic.

Children in Reception have been busy exploring the outdoor area at Godley. They have been learning about woodland animals and have created their own nests to create homes for the small animals in our environment. How can you help animals in your home environment? A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped out at our Autumn Disco last night. The children looked wonderful in their party clothes and thoroughly enjoyed dancing, visiting the tuck shop and having their face and nails painted. We have raised a total of £423 for school funds.
