Willow and Maple Class had an informative trip to the Maritime Museum in Lancaster this week, linked to their History topic. Mrs Shipway did a fabulous demonstration of all the musical instruments we can offer for lessons. Flo, Eleah and Josh were really brave playing their instruments in front of the whole school plus parents!
The whole school attendance for this week is 95.42%, with Maple achieving 98 1%
The Premier League Trophy came to visit school thanks to our link with Fleetwood Town Community Trust!

Good as New Toy Sale – Friday
7th July
As part of their fund-raising, Year 6 are running a Good as New Toy Sale. This will be held on Friday 7th July in the school hall, from 2:30-4:30pm. This is a great opportunity to have a clear out! If you have any good quality toys, games or children’s books that you would be happy to donate, please send them into school from next week.

Fleetwood Town Summer Holiday Camp
Bookings have opened for the holiday club which is held at school - https://fleetwoodtownfcct.com/shop/ Details are included in the newsletter, but we are still waiting for the council to send out codes for those eligible for the HAF programme.
Non-Uniform Day –Friday 7th July
Friday 7th July will also be a nonuniform day in exchange for £1 per child plus an item of chocolate. The chocolate will be used for prize every time tombola at the Toy Sale event. Any size of chocolate will be fine – we would like a mixture!

We need to collect empty glass jars for one of the activities. If you could save any that you have and send them into school, we would be very grateful!

Public Speaking Final –
Thursday 29th June
The final of this year’s Public Speaking Final will take place on Thursday 29th June from 1:30pm in school The class teachers will announce which pupils have made the final. If your child is a finalist, you are very welcome to come and watch
St Aidan’s/Millfield Induction Day – Friday 30th June
Year 6 will be spending the day at their chosen high school on Friday 30th June They do not come to school at all on this day. They should go directly to the high school and then home afterwards St Aidan’s and Millfield will share more information with you.

Music Lessons:
If you would like your child to have 1-1 music tuition from September, please get in touch. We can offer lessons in woodwind, brass, keyboard and violin. The cost is £35 per halfterm for a 20 minute 1-1 lesson over 6 weeks.
