Lambeth Children’s Centres: Coronavirus 20th March 2020 Dear Parent / Carer We appreciate that the current Covid19 pandemic is creating enormous worry and anxiety for families. The impact is being felt across the country and particularly in London, where many services have been reduced or stopped due to staff illness or closed based on decisions to slow the spread of Coronavirus. Unfortunately this will also affect children’s centres in Lambeth. All group activity in children’s centres will cease as of Friday 20 th March 2020, and most children’s centre buildings will be closed until further notice. This has been a very difficult decision to make but the impact on children’s centre staff teams and government guidance around group activity mean it is no longer possible for the council to keep centres open for service delivery.

Children’s Centre support by phone The council is proposing to keep two children’s centre buildings open as an information and advice point for families of young children. This is subject to staff availability. You will be able to contact these centres by phone or, if essential, in person. These centres are: Jubilee Children’s Centre, Upper Tulse Hill, London SW2 2JE 020 8678 6530 Stockwell Children’s Centre, Burgoyne Road, Stockwell SW9 9QJ 020 7326 7328 Please do not go to one of these children’s centres if you or your child are unwell. If you or your child develop new symptoms of a persistent cough and/or temperature please follow government guidance on self-isolation. Find out more information about Coronavirus
