Macmillan Coffee Afternoon

Thanks to Edwards & Blake for supporting us to host this event and baking plenty of delicious goodies for us to share together. Thank you for your kind e-donations for this hugely worthwhile cause, parents. You raised £158 for Macmillan. Thank You so much.

Christmas Performance & Musicians

This year, we will not be incorporating our musicians into the Christmas Performance. Instead, ASCA are working on a special event (which will be hosted at our school) just for our musicians. Everyone would be welcome to attend but musician parents, of course, are highly encouraged. We anticipate this to be at some point early in the New Year e.g January. Details to follow from ASCA/the school.

Christmas Performance: Reminder

19th December. 1pm approx. 2 seats per family. Younger siblings can sit on laps. This event can not be filmed.

The Young Uns: Earith Primary School 3

Special thanks to the Young Uns for visiting us, once again, and especially to Larwood & Rauf pupils for their creative input into writing our third Earith Primary School Song. The focus of this one: celebrating difference & diversity. The Young Uns ran multiple sessions between the two classes which were a combination of the pupils’ creative input, discussion and the Young Uns singing to us. A final showcase assembly to the whole school brought us together to listen to the Young Uns perform Earith Primary School Song 1, 2 and then the grand reveal of 3!

Just waiting on the final edit & lyrics to be sent through. Then, we add it to our repertoire for Monday singing assemblies and we hope to perform it to you all soon. Look out for it on the website. Fabulous.

ICT Grand Opening

Look out – it may be in the press, but here’s some of the shots: LINK

ICT Suite grand opening was on Monday. Ribbon cut, courtesy of Ava. Also in attendance: Humphrey, Archie, Mrs Wardell, Mr Mudge (FOES), Mr Low (Director of Education: Active Learning Trust & Mr Crossley (Estates Manager: Active Learning Trust). Thank You once again: a grand representation of the people who helped us do a grand job!

New laptops, too. A few technical teething issues we’re hoping to resolve soon, but really pleased with how respectful and patient our children have been with our new tech! See HERE

Learning Highlights of the Week

Highlight Antony:

In maths this week we have been exploring the different ways the number block four can be arranged. We used large squares, multilink and stickers, as well as the large blocks. In PE, we continued with our unit of work on dance: this week, introducing music to move to. It was lovely to see all of the children marching in time to the beat.

Highlight Wenzel:

This week, Wenzel Class took inspiration from Stanley’s Stick but with a twist! Instead of a stick, we reimagined what a simple pot could become. From a pirate’s treasure chest to a rocket ship, the possibilities were endless! The children used fantastic adjectives to describe their magical pots, like "sparkling," "gigantic," and "mysterious." Who knew a pot could be so full of surprises?

Highlight Larwood:

Larwood Class have thoroughly enjoyed working on the creation of Earith Primary School Song 3 with the Young'Uns this week! The children were thrilled to see their suggestions for lyrics turn into verses, and loved singing along to the finished number. We have also enjoyed getting hands on with our new laptops, using LBQ in English and Maths.

This week, songwriting with the Young Uns, truly stole the spotlight! It was wonderful to see Rauf Class sharing their knowledge of our school and community. Their creative efforts in crafting lyrics and rhymes were nothing short of outstanding. Not only did they support the songwriting process, but they also put great thought into ensuring that the song's message of diversity, came through loud and clear. We now have Earith Primary School 3!
