Students learn about the geographical relationship between the school and the Cathedral by walking between the two locations to take part in services.
Students learn more about our FAITH values during the service, hear and feel the organ and experience the unique acoustic qualities of the building through singing.
Each year we welcome new students to the school with a special service of welcome in Derby Cathedral.
Students have the opportunity to engage with the school’s FAITH values which are core to our Christian Ethos.
Students also have the opportunity to share their musical talents with their peers and staff. A highlight for one of our students was playing the organ and appreciating the acoustics the Cathedral has.
